MIND Raises $72M Series B for AI-Native DLP

MIND, a data loss prevention startup led by the former CEO of Hexadite, has closed a $72 million Series B led by Crosspoint Capital Partners, with existing investors YL Ventures and Paladin Capital Group returning for the round. It’s the company’s second raise in just over a year, following a $30 million Series A, and pushes MIND’s total disclosed funding past the $100 million mark.

The pitch sits in the increasingly crowded “AI-era DLP” category that buyers are now weighing alongside Cyberhaven and Concentric AI: discover sensitive data across SaaS apps, endpoints, and email; classify it on both content and context; then layer blocking or user-nudge controls on top of that inventory. Where MIND is trying to differentiate is in using AI agents to triage which data events actually warrant analyst attention versus routine noise — a direct attack on the alert-fatigue problem that has plagued legacy content-inspection DLP for years.

For practitioners, the signal here isn’t the classification tech itself — most modern DLP platforms now market some flavor of content-plus-context detection — it’s that investors are still funding “next-gen” DLP vendors specifically on the promise of AI-agent triage rather than incremental classifier improvements. That’s worth watching against how incumbents like Microsoft Purview and Proofpoint respond, particularly as agentic AI workflows themselves become a new surface for data exfiltration that DLP teams have to reason about. MIND says the new capital goes toward platform development and expanding enterprise go-to-market.
